Ace — 4-year-old, male, black Retriever mix. Ace has had a bit of a rough life before making his way to the Kansas Humane Society. He was found as a stray and needed a little fattening up. He's intelligent, independent, confident and clever. Small children make him nervous but he is excited about getting a new home.

Harry — A 2-month-old guinea pig. This would make a great pet for someone who is not quite ready for a dog or cat. His sleek, compact size makes him easy to care for and he makes very few demands.

Gypsy — 8-month-old female, brown-and-white Australian Shepherd mix. Thanks to some great people who opened their home, Gypsy is currently in foster care and learning to be more confident. She has blossomed from a timid girl into a loving, loyal, constant companion. To learn more about her, call 316-220-8713.

Greggers — A 2-year-old, male, white/liver, German Shorthaired Pointer. He is an energetic go-getter who will keep you motivated to get outside and move. Like most Pointers, he's got tons of energy and will run or chase a ball for hours, and still want to play at the end of the day.

Mapleton Farm Sales List: Liver German Shorthaired Pointers

&Nbsp;The five puppies left to sell are all solid or almost solid liver.  Some have a little white on their chest and/or toes.  The have beautiful coloring, ranging from almost a milk chocolate to a dark chocolate color...all are considered "liver."  They all are very sweet, like their beautiful mama Rose.  When I looked for Rose I specifically looked for a solid GSP.  Now I hope others looking for solid find us, as we have some really beautiful ones to choose from. Having owned and ridden Morgan Horses most of my life, I decided to bring the "small" animals here in 2006. Being a knitter and interested in fiber arts, I decided to learn to spin and began putting together a small flock of fiber animals. I started with 3 sheep: 1 Shetland, 1 Cheviot, and one Corriedale cross, 2 Angora goats, and 1 Cashmere goat. The Shetland soon stole my heart, and I decided to start a breeding program. So I bought some more and in 2008 I had my first lamb crop! I added more summer 2008 and 2009 and am excited to continue to breed quality, healthy animals. My focus is on fleece, disposition, and conformation. Who knew a horse person could turn shepherd so readily? As others have said, it is addicting!
